RFID technology (Radio Frequency IDentification) has found wide application in many areas of science and technology, everyday life. At the moment, it is used everywhere from libraries to industrial warehouses. At the same time, the number of RFID applications is growing every year, and at the same time, the number of scientific papers investigating certain issues related to this topic is increasing. One of these rapidly developing areas is the use of RFID for fast-moving objects: cars and unmanned aerial vehicles.
This article provides an overview of RFID technology, the features of signal propagation in an RFID wireless communication channel, as well as research and some commercial applications in the field of using RFID technology to transfer data between objects moving relative to each other. About 100 articles were considered and classified in the total score, the most popular areas of scientific work were highlighted, and non-standard projects for RFID were considered.
